My Story

When someone you love tells you they have cancer, I know just how hard it is to deal with. From the day you find out, to watching them fight it and in some cases until the day they lose their battle and what comes after.

Cancer can affect peoples lives in so many ways, and Macmillan do whatever it takes to give people the support they need.

It is an absolutely fantastic charity and Macmillan Cancer Support have kindly sponsored my entry to the AJ Bell Great Birmingham Run on 5th May 2024 - All I need to do is raise £150.

A little bit about me.

I have never been a runner.  Up until August last year I couldnt even run 1k, but I decided to get in shape before I was 40 this May, so this event ties in nicely.  I was originally due to run the 1/2 marathon however, following a recent road traffic accident, my physical condition has been hit hard, & I have lost out on weeks of precious training for what will be my first running event.  I will still be running on the day, but only the 10k, which isn't going to be easy bearing in mind I could barely move last week.  So, whether it takes me 1 hour or two, I am determined to do it.

Whilst I would love to smash the £150, anything you can donate to help hit that total would be really appreciated.

Thank You
